1. Presentation – Pepco Tree Plan
Decision Required: None.
Pepco will be presenting their proposed tree plan for the entire town prior to implementation. Mr. Torres has reviewed the plan and his memorandum is enclosed.
2. Discussion Ethics Commission Opinion
Decision Required - How to address the opinion.
An ethics question was presented to the Ethics Commission regarding an action of a Councilmember. The Commission has rendered an opinion to which the Councilmember is not in agreement.
3. Presentation – Mobilite WiFi
Decision Required: Whether to allow right-of-way access.
The company Mobilite is requesting a franchise agreement from the Town of Cheverly in order to install wireless devices on existing utility poles. Enclosed is information provided by the company. If there is no objection, the Town staff and Town Attorney will begin the process of reviewing franchise agreements.
4. St. Ambrose/Spellman School Traffic
Decision Required: None.
The Staff were directed to gather traffic data on Joslyn Place regarding speed and usage during morning school hours. Attached are the results.
5. Raised Crosswalks – Jason Street & Crest Avenue
Decision Required: None.
The Staff were directed to look at the possibility of installing a raised crosswalk in the mid-block of Jason Street. The Director of Public Works and Chief of Police have provided technical data regarding this matter in order to properly address this matter.
6. Cheverly Avenue and Montrose Road Design
Decision Required: Whether to consider alternatives.
The Mayor and Town Council directed the Public Works Director to price out and consider suggestions regarding pedestrians at the lower end of Cheverly Avenue near Montrose. The memorandum was distributed at the September Town Meeting and is up for discussion. If you need another copy please email me prior to Thursday’s meeting.
7. Private Property Tree Proposal
Decision Required: None.
The Mayor and Town Council asked CM Riazi and CM Coolen to formulate a proposal at the last Worksession. I should be emailed to the Councilmembers before the Worksession.
